Local Courts (Jurisdiction) Order, 1966

Statutory Instrument 353 of 1966

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred upon the Minister of Justice by section thirteen of the Local Courts Act, 1966, the following Order is hereby made:

1. Title

This Order may be cited as the Local Courts (Jurisdiction) Order, 1966.

2. Enforcement of specified laws

Subject to the provisions of the Local Courts Act, 1996, all local courts shall have jurisdiction to administer the provisions of—
(a)the written laws specified in the Schedule to the extent indicated in the second column thereof; and
(b)any statutory instrument made and in force under the provisions of any written law which such courts have jurisdiction to administer.
