Engineering Institution of Zambia (Professional Service Fees) Regulations, 2026

Statutory Instrument 34 of 2026

In exercise of the powers contained in sections 28 and 62 of the Engineering Institution of Zambia Act, and on the recommendation of the Council, the following Regulations are made:

1. Title

These Regulations may be cited as the Engineering Institution of Zambia (Professional Service Fees) Regulations, 2026.

2. Professional service fees

An engineering professional with a valid practising certificate engaged to provide engineering services and works shall charge professional service fees set out in the Schedule.

Note:A person employing an engineering professional shall not pay an engineering professional less than the minimum fee charge per hour.

Notes:(i)The scale of fees above is applicable to all engineering work including design and specification, documentation, procurement and supervision of works.(ii)Fees based on percentage of cost of the works are appropriate when the nature, form and function of the project has been defined through previous studies and engineering work required involves finalising the project through the various stages of normal services.
