    This Bill proposes to establish a comprehensive legal framework for the installation, operation, and regulation of closed-circuit television (CCTV) and mobile CCTV systems in Zambia. It seeks to define the functions of the National Public Security Command Centre, establish the National Public Security Command Committee, and provide for the licensing and authorisation of CCTV use. The Bill also introduces measures to protect data collected through surveillance, ensures oversight and accountability in CCTV usage, and prohibits the use of covert systems except under specific conditions.
