- Summary of What the Bill Proposes to Do
The object of this Bill is to amend the Public Holidays Act so as to remove the observance of a Monday as a public holiday on the day following a public holiday falling on a Sunday.
The Bill seeks to remove the sentence in section two of the act that states that, ‘Whenever any of the days mentioned in the Schedule falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be observed as a public holiday.’
